What to do if the baby vomits.
Children usually vomit due to stomach virus or ingesting unsuitable food in the stomach. Some children spit after meals or after belching. It is not vomiting and it does not mean that the baby has the virus. With proper care, vomiting usually stops within 8 to 12 hours.
What to do if vomiting
(1) In the case of small children, stop breastfeeding and formula milk.
(2) Wait two hours until the vomiting of a small or large child stops.
(3) Then start breastfeeding.
(4) Start drinking two to four ounces of clear liquid or saline mixed pani every now and then.
(5) If the older child does not vomit within 6 to 12 hours, let him eat solid foods, such as rice, cereals, dried crackers or dried toast.
(6) Feed the baby milk or formula and dairy foods slowly. Gradually increase your normal eating habits.
Which cannot be done
(1) Do not give too much to the child. This will increase vomiting.
(2) Do not give milk or dairy products such as cheese, curd, ice cream etc. to the baby in 24 hours.
(3) Joffra syrup can be given as medicine according to age.
(4) Keep the child away from sick people as much as possible.
(5) Do not feed the child frozen food.
(6) Teach the child to wash his hands well before meals and after defecation.
When the doctor shows up
(1) If vomiting does not improve within 12 hours.
(2) If the child is less than six months of age.
(3) If the child complains of abdominal pain for more than two hours.
(4) If the baby does not urinate within 12 hours.
(5) If the baby's lips, tongue and mouth are dry.
(6) If the child cannot eat any liquid.
(6) If the child is very excited or sleeps excessively.
What to do to prevent vomiting in the baby ?
Children can vomit for a variety of reasons. Most of the vomiting is due to eating noise. But it should not be neglected for any reason.
Newborns should be more aware of vomiting. Reason-
The reason for the first week
Neonatal Gastritis - If the mother swallows something during pregnancy, feeding c-round, over-feeding or inhaling. If you do not breastfeed properly or do not notice when feeding, air may enter, if the baby receives less or more milk, or if the lower part of the nipple is not fully in the mouth, or air may enter during bottle feeding. Many times if the mother wants to feed the baby, it can also cause vomiting.
- Vomiting may occur even if the food is changed.
-Who should be taken care of when vomiting for the first time and giving it for the second time.
-If there is contact between tracheoesophageal fistula, trachea and pharynx.
-If the small intestine is obstructed for any reason.
-Any injury to the brain causes shortness of breath, bleeding in the brain and inflammation of the meninges.

If left after the first week
- Feeding disturbances.
-Eating vomiting.
-The narrowing of the last part of the stomach.
- Intestinal obstruction.
-Inflammation of the appendix.
-Inflammation of the tonsils.
When the child grows up, if he has indigestion due to worms, he may vomit with diarrhea. Jaundice, inflammation of the urethra, any stomach ailment but children vomit. Whatever the cause of vomiting, it is unbearable. Children get tired very quickly. Vomiting causes a lot of water and electrolytes to leak out of the body so the patient becomes weak.
Saline should be given immediately after vomiting so that there is no dehydration. If you force-feed, you may vomit again, so any food should be eaten slowly and repeatedly. If it does not decrease, saline should be given intravenously and medication should be given on the advice of a doctor to diagnose the cause of vomiting.
